Kraken, the cryptocurrency exchange, has acquired the digital asset division of online brokerage firm TradeStation Crypto to expand its regulatory reach in the United States. TradeStation Crypto, headquartered in Florida, has obtained currency transfer and other regulatory licenses in most states in the US over the past few years. The amount paid for the acquisition was not disclosed by Kraken, who confirmed the purchase through a spokesperson, stating that this transaction is part of their efforts to accelerate their business in the US and will bring further growth and new product opportunities for Kraken in the country.
